In order to position yourself as the MLM expert, you first must decide how you want to run your business. In network marketing, there is no rule that you must operate your enterprise exactly the way someone else does. For example, do you want to work mainly offline or online? It’s your business, so decide on a strategy that fits your lifestyle.

After deciding HOW you want to operate, you then must pick a marketing plan that supports how you have chosen to run your business. For me, I absolutely hated driving around town, setting up meetings, and exposing my business one measley person at a time. It is critical that you take some time to evaluate what works for you. What don’t you like to do? What drives you crazy? Take those things and create a way for you to operate by avoiding those things.

Now that you’ve got HOW you will function along with a marketing plan to carry out that function, you must begin to solve problems. As you begin to study your craft and help other people to solve their problems relating to building their MLM business, you will become the expert. The key here for you is to know your craft. You will be ignored if the information you provide is shallow or basically helpless to the people looking to you for assistance. As you solve problems for yourself and then share that valuable information with others, you ARE now the expert.

So as you can see, it is not very difficult to learn something that first helps you, then teach others and repeat that process over and over again. Becoming the expert is a matter of finding what works for you and sharing that with others.

When Leads Call You, It’s Better!

Since I started marketing my business on the internet, some strange things have been going on. Namely, leads calling me. You know, over 1 year ago, I couldn’t imagine how to make that happen. Now, it’s happening everyday.

I spoke with a wonderful woman today out of South Carolina (who called me first) and she was most pleasant. She was looking to start a business, something she could do part-time from home and saw my pay-per-click ad. She loved her husband dearly and said he was the best husband in the world. She wanted me to help her by answering some questions she had about the business. So, I did! When your prospect is open to receive what you have, you succeed!

When you begin to realize how much better it is to speak to people who contact you first, you will experience bliss! I know you’ve heard this before, but you should only be focused on “working smarter, not harder.”

The reality about MLM or Network Marketing is that you get out of it what you put in it. Far to often, the message that gets portrayed is that this industry provides instant wealth and something for nothing. As a result, over 95% of them get disappointed within their first 90 days once they realize WORK is a requirement.

Likewise, the other 5% or so that are willing to work for the success still have a hard time in the beginning. That is mainly because you are trying to bark up the same tree that everyone is barking up. Just because everyone else is doing it, doesn’t make it right or the best way. If you are looking for true success, you must create a system that works for you.
Mark Victor Hansen has taught many to think of system as an acronym:

S: Save
Y: Your-
S: Self
T: Time
E: Energy
M: Money

If you are trying hard to model the success of your upline by doing what they are doing, then make sure you are still saving yourself time, energy and money. The problem with the traditional way of building an MLM business is that you end up spending way more time, energy and money than you even really have. After so much of operating in the negative, you quit.

The solution, well, more of a suggestion: learn how to target more people without expending the extreme amounts of energy you are expending now. Learn how to maximize your time by ONLY speaking to the people who are interested in what you have. Learn how to save money by marketing to a target group of people. Ask yourself a question. If you were the Chicago Bears, and needed a quarterback, would you put an ad in the paper? Would you ask all of your friends for referrals of people who they knew were looking to be a quarterback? Would you talk to everyone within a 3 ft radius of you about becoming a quarterback? Or would you simply turn to the NFL for existing quarterbacks looking for a change? What about looking to the college draft to recruit the best quarterback that is up and coming?

Moral of the story is that you can only build a house with carpenters. You can only build an MLM business, with MLM builders. Implement a system that is sure to deliver the results that help you to achieve the goals you had for even joining the MLM industry.

Things Are Rolling Now!

So yesterday, I had to go in and make some changes to my AdWords campaign. Prior to the changes, I had only received 2 clicks in 3 days. After the changes, as of right now, I have received 86 more clicks and 1 sale. All in less than 24 hours. This is amazing if you follow exactly what Daegan teaches in the Internet MLM Success ebook!

I have purchased and read many many ebooks, and for the first time, for me, I found 1 that gives you the steps to follow step-by-step. It is almost unbelievable!

See, we go so long looking for the right info to help us achieve our goals and then when we find it…and it works..it does something to your psyche! I don’t know about you, but I knew this business could work. I knew it deep down.

Tracey’s Status Report #2

Today I went back to review my Pay per click campaign and noticed that I had only gotten 2 clicks since I set it up a few days ago.

I knew something was wrong right away!

So, I went to my google account to see what was happening and realized something right off the back! I forgot to group my keywords in AdGroups to make them more relevant. As a result, my keywords were all lumped together and my ads were not being triggered. So I added 10 more AdGroups.

By the time I finished the tweaking of my campaign, I had generated another 47 clicks in about an hour!!

Gees Louiise! Now that was fast and more like it!

Note for the day: creating different adgroups help the relevancy of your ad. The more relevant your key words are to what the searcher is entering in their search, the higher your ad will rank…thus the more relevant clicks you will have..thus more leads!

Tracey’s Status Report

I thought that today I would report on the progress of my marketing campaign with Power Prospecting System (PPS). I officially started using the awesome program on March 22, 2008. Within these last 2 weeks, and as a result of following the easy to follow yet specific directions in PPS, I’ve created this brand new blog, written 10 new articles, set a Pay-Per-Click campaign in motion the RIGHT way and have become active in several major MLM forums.

Now, these are just a few of the strategies taught in PPS.

Thanks to the PPS system, I’ve generated 20 exclusive targeted leads and 3 sales totaling $75. 9 of my articles have been published by newsletter publishers and distributed all over the net. Lastly, if you Google “Tracey Walker MLM”, I dominate the entire 1st page!!!

I did okay with offline marketing, but I still struggled more than not to get high quality leads that were interested in what I had to offer. Finally! I found a way to make money, even if nobody joins my business! Now this is how a home-based business is supposed to be!

Yippeee!

Why do so many marketers/business owners struggle day in and day out with making sales? Maybe it’s because too many dollars are spent marketing using the wrong mediums. Maybe it’s because too many dollars are spent attracting the wrong customers. Or maybe it’s because too much time and money is spent on targeting potential customers at the wrong time in the buying process!
The answer is that all of these scenarios lead to losses as opposed to profits. But the most important one is the last one, spending hard to come by advertising dollars on customers too early in their buying process.

Every customer, for every product takes time to make that buying decision. Let’s say that you sale vacations for example. If you took most of your budget and paid for TV ads, would you get the number of looks you desire, probably so. However, would you get the number of sales you wanted? Probably not so. See, TV is most likely the 1st exposure to the product. A prospect sees the ad and it triggers something in their mind, like, “yeah, it would be good to go on vacation”. But do they buy right then? No! Where do they go next…maybe they get some magazines or something like that. This is to see pictures and get specs right? The magazine or brochure is tangible and they can go back to it anytime they want with ease. But do most buy even now? No! Where does your prospect go last…to the INTERNET!

Now, on the internet, they can research what they saw on TV and in the brochure. They can compare prices and resorts. They can do it all from here. So where do you need to spend your advertising dollars…at the place right where your prospect is ready to buy! In this case, the internet!

Moral of the story, you should be intercepting your prospects where they are looking for you. In our example, spending too much money on TV is expensive and doesn’t convert to the sales you need just to break even. Plus, it is the wrong time in the buying process, it’s too early yet. Spending the money in the magazines is still okay, but most people don’t buy immediately from what they see in the publication, as it relates to vacations. But if you spent your dollars advertising on the internet, when the customer has completed the research, is excited to make the purchase, is ready to buy with credit card in hand, you could change the total dynamic of your business.
