Handling The Pyramid Objection

Many people get stumbled when they are asked this horrible question, “Is this a pyramid scheme” or “Is this one of those pyramid selling structures?”

When someone asks you this question, you must not fumble or stutter… in fact, you must be very happy that they ask this question because it shows genuine interest on the part of the prospect because better to have a passionate, negative prospect than a lukewarm person. A passionate, negative person can be turned into a passionate positive person who will go all out for your team, but only if you handle the pyramid objection intelligently.

Firstly, a pyramid scheme is often confused with network marketing or multi level marketing. People feel that the guy who starts FIRST is often the one who gets all the money while the downlines do all the work. Others would associate the MLM company as being illegal.

You see, MLM generally pays over a multi-tier compensation structure and you can earn money up to many levels deep. However, it doesn’t mean that the person on ‘top’ will generally earn more money than the downline.

Let’s take Amway for example. If you want to ‘Go Diamond’ you will need to build up 6 teams.

But if you want to go Double Diamond, you need to personally build up 9-12 teams (as an example). So if you build 6 teams only but your DOWNLINE, builds 9-12 teams, does it makes sense that your downline should earn more money than you? Sure your downline is part of your team and he is helping to expand your group, but since he put in more hard work in personally building a team, it makes sense that the downline Double Diamond earns DOUBLE of what you should make even though you are on top!

Next, if you consider that network marketing is a business about helping people, you can’t try and sponsor as ‘wide’ as possible (e.g. personally sponsoring 20 yourself) but you don’t help any of them succeed. You are no longer building a network but you are creating a recruiting job for yourself! And if they don’t succeed, you can bet your next commissions check that you will be sponsoring people over and over again for the next few years.

Most compensation plans pay you well only when your downlines succeed. Hopefully you are prepared to HELP your people.

So in order to handle the objection, consider that – network marketing is a LEGAL network building business that MOVES PRODUCTS through many levels and the one who works the hardest will get paid the most (contrary to a corporate pyramid where the CEO might not necessarily work the hardest compared to the clerk, but the CEO gets paid the most nevertheless).

Networking With MLM List Builders

Striking gold in MLM is not easy unless you work very hard to build networks. Execute a ‘small’ plan and you will get small results. But if you play it big, the risk will pay off when you find the right kind of people to network with.

This goes without saying that when you try and network with other MLM list builders, you will make more money with the same amount of work.

However, MLM list builders are very protective with their lists. They will not do an ad swap or a promotional email blast just because you ask them to. So what is the best way to tap into their inner circle?

Firstly, don’t act like an wannabe. Most network marketing leaders are so busy with their marketing activities and taking care of their downlines that they barely have any time left to deal with every single wannabe that grovels for their time. It is a big turn off so make sure you try and carry yourself in a very professional way.

Next, if you can’t become their friends directly, always try and get to them through their various networks and contacts. For example, if your target leader is a very good friend of a particular marketer, you can try and network with him first, become his friend, work on projects with him and when the time is right, bridge the connections. It is sort of like a teenage guy going after a girl way out of his league, but he can succeed if he becomes close friends with HER friends and try and wedge his way into her ‘inner circle’.

Another way to ensure that you will have successful joint ventures is to observe the following tips.

Never ask for a joint venture opportunity at the last minute. People are busy and they are most probably not going to re-arrange their schedules or do special favors for complete strangers.

When you pitch your joint venture offer, make sure you offer good and valuable products related to their niches. If they teach their downlines about list building, you will have better chances if you ask them to promote good list building tools. Most important of all, you have to make sure your products provide good value to their subscribers.

You can also subscribe to their mailing lists, and REPLY directly to their newsletters using the RE subject line of the newsletter issue. This will definitely grab the attention of the list builder.

Remember, at the end of the day, JUST ASK. The worst that can happen is that they will say no or ignore you… but it is worth it because you will always miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.

I Need (More Traffic)!

They say that driving traffic to your MLM websites is the biggest key towards dominating the market. This statement holds a lot of weight as lead generation and building your names list are the lifeline of your network marketing business.

But what happens if you do not have enough existing traffic? What if your blog is virtually dead or your mailing list is smaller than other people’s downlines? How do you get a jump start and get ahead of all the other traffic buyers especially if you do not have money to pay for expensive banner advertising or Google AdWords?

The answer is in the following.

Submitting quality content to websites!

Submission is one of the single, most important ways to leverage on high traffic user generated websites and targeted enough to draw in large crowds of network marketing prospects. It’s sort of like a mouse, riding on the shoulders of an elephant moving at fast speed!

The theory works well because…

Google considers these sites as high authority sites and getting good quality back links from sites like Ezine articles will give you a huge boost in search engine rankings and hence, more traffic.

You can leverage on the traffic on those sites and by sorting through the right categories, you will get the right kind of traffic.

You also get viral traffic when people like your content and they republish it or they share it with their friends through emails.

So what are the different types of content you can submit to and get traffic?

There are Articles (written content about 250 – 600 words).

Audio recordings (you can read out an article or a transcript and submit them to podcast sites)
Video sites (YouTube, Viddler, Metacafe and many other sites accept video recordings… you can record yourself or use Power Point to make one).

You can compile all your articles into an E-book or a special report and submit them to E-book sites (you can also give the book Master Resell Rights or Private Label Rights and watch the book go viral).

RSS submission (you can submit your blogs to lots of RSS sites and pick up traffic)
Blog directory submission (submit your blogs to sites like Blog Catalog and Blogflux)
You can also submit your sites to Social Bookmarking sites like Digg, Stumble Upon, Mixx, Mister Wong, Reddit and many more).

Finally, you can also submit your content to Facebook and other Social Networking sites and build a community.

Make sure you submit to as many sites as possible and do it as consistently as possible.

Where Is Your Power?

You know, quite sometime ago, I realized that the success that I wanted and the person that could help me get it wasn’t as far off as I thought.

I mean, once I really took time to reflect, I realized that both of those things already dwelled inside me and were not part of the external.

As I started to pull on that energy and come to know my “inside” self, all sorts of things started to happen.

My business began to pick up, my confidence increased, I began to draw more people to me and I began to make more money! I even began to get noticed by other professionals who wanted to work with me, wow!

As these chain of events began, I knew I was on the right path, but I needed to reach more people, help more people, ya know.

Soon after, I was presented with the opportunity to share my story with others and become a published author. Now, instantly I thought, me? Write and become a published author? No way!

But as I began to follow a little outline and share what was in my heart, the words just began to flow. And before I knew it, I had an entire chapter that had to be cut down for cryin outloud! LOL

So, after a few revisions, there it was, my portion of a book that was filled with Best-selling authors and other professionals who were sharing their personal stories as well.

And it has been one of my greatest accomplishments thus far!

I decided to sit down and write this little email to you because I wanted to share my accomplishment with you. I wanted you to see that I dug deep down inside and pulled out a leader that was already there. I wanted you to stop and realize that the leader you desire is within you as well, you may just need to pull him/her out! And boy what a ride it is when you do!

The book I co-authored is called “The Power of Leadership, Finding the Leader Within” and is filled with stories of others who have overcome, beat the odds, and just overall made things happen.

I’d love for you to head over to my site and get your very own “Special Collector’s Edition” of the book. Just click on the link below…

I only have 97 copies left and I thought, who else to share these stories with other than YOU, my friend!

Personal development is something that no matter what is going on in the world, people are still concerned with. Most understand that you must take care of self, before you can really be of any value to others…

Grab a copy of the book, read it and add it to your collection of materials that you can always reference to help you keep pushing forward!

Why Your Blog Titles on (MLM Blogs) Matter!

MLM blogs are one of the most important marketing tools you can use to promote your network marketing business or your opportunity.

Some of the advantages of blogging include picking up traffic from the search engines, blog traffic exchanges, people keying in your name with a dot com at the end and even from RSS subscriptions.

But one of the biggest keys towards picking up and maximizing your traffic is to optimize your blog titles and post titles for your MLM blogs. The title serves many different functions
It gets your blog post appearing on Google, Yahoo! and MSN for the right kind of keywords … keywords that prospects are looking for.

It also gets picked up by blog syndications and networks giving you another source of traffic and blog readers.

It attracts readers to look at your blog post. With millions of new blog posts coming up each day and a new blog being created every few seconds, you have to be savvy when it comes to creating a post title that will not only attract the attention of your readers, but will also give them a compelling reason to read the post all the way to the end.

So how should you optimize your blog titles? Here are a few pointers:

How to… Everybody wants to know how to get more money, get something done, court the right girl, find the right solutions, etc. If you can provide solutions, the ‘how to’ line will always strike a chord.

Swing Golf Like Tiger Woods… actually, not just Tiger Woods, it could be bend it like Beckham, or get rich like Warren Buffet, Donald Trump, Bill Gates or even the Sultan of Brunei! Either way, if you can do something like the superstar, it will be a very good blog title because everyone wants to do something word class.

If you start your blog post with “what you ought to know” about something, you are leveraging on someone’s curiosity and it is really effective because nobody likes the feeling of not knowing something important or feeling left out.

Use this… here is a quick way to get something done. This is a very good line too because people like to get things done really fast.

Another useful strategy… using part 1, part 2, part etc… when you break your blog posts into separate parts, it gives people a compelling reason to come back more and more. As long as you ‘exercise’ your readers, you are making them more responsive to your offers and your opportunities.

Traits Of A (Network Marketing Leader)

What are the traits of a successful network marketing leader?

A leader someone who have followers following them, of course! After all, if you claim to be a leader and there is no one behind you, then you are merely going for a walk!

Here are 6 traits of a successful leader:

A leader is someone that will ensure that their downlines succeed. No matter how well you inflate yourself, only a truly successful leader is someone that helps their downlines to MAKE MONEY. You must teach your downlines how to generate their own leads and find their own prospects.

You must also learn to empower others. A good leader is not someone who does everything by themselves. If you ever dream of leveraging on your downlines, you must make sure they are strong enough to run the business on their own and be independent. If they have to rely on you for everything then you are just creating a network marketing job for yourself.

Your leadership quality will also show in your benevolence. Unlike a corporate structure, you are not their BOSS. People do not join network marketing in order to be bossed around by their uplines. Learn where your limits are but also be firm when you want your downlines to get something done for their own good.

A good leader is also one that does 80% of the work. In real life, the 80/20 rule applies where 20% of the people do 80% of the important stuff. Yes, it is important to delegate and train new people, but most of the initial ground work must have a strong foundation laid down by the network marketing leader.

Another very important aspect about MLM leadership is the ability to memorize all the important facts about the company and the network marketing opportunity. Imagine how embarrassed you will feel if your downline brings a prospect to you and you are not able to answer all the hard questions. They look to you as dictionaries and encyclopedias so make sure you are not lacking in terms of knowledge.

Lastly, a good leader is someone who is willing to serve all the way and make sacrifices. There is no victory without sacrifice and although it is difficult to sacrifice your time, money and your personal comfort, it will all pay off if you work very hard and build a solid network so that your downlines will be ready to go forward!
