When I say this guy is my kind of guy, whoaaa, do I mean it!

I just quickly wanted to share this idea with you. As you work on building your blog remember that it serves as your homebase. It is the place where your interested readers can come and get information about a topic in various ways.

Your blog reflects you and your tastes, ideas and likes/dislikes. It is a place for you to share what you want, talk about what you want and give what you want. If there are others who vibe with you well, they will take a liking to your offering. Don’t be overly concerned with those who don’t!

Take content you have created such as your articles and post them to your blog. Take your videos and post them to your blog. Post other people’s stuff to your blog too, afterall, you must find content besides your own useful right? I certainly do.

Add some color and some pizazz to your blog. Like my favorite color is red, so you seen that color tone throughout my blog. My banner is a personalized banner that was created by my friend Barbie Figeuroa. (If you need a banner done, find her on twitter at http://www.twitter.com/barbiefigueroa and hit her up..she is awesome!) Take the affiliate programs that you promote, or at least some of them and add them to your blog for monetization. Be sure to add a cool signature line (you can see how to do that in a previous post). If you’ve noticed, I’ve even added an audio to my blog so people who have never heard my voice before can listen to me in an attempt to share more of the real me with them.

All in all, just go for it. Start with the layout of your choice and go from there. It won’t all come together at once, I would be lying if I said it did for me…it didn’t! I screwed up this doggone blog a trillion times before I got it “right” which is just a matter of personal like and taste. Put yours out there and start blogging. Tweak as you feel the need to. It’s yours so you can change it as much or as often as you like. You are in control!
