What is the TRUE Guerrilla Marketing Definition?

Part of marketing your business, especially online, is being able to think outside the box so that you can stay ahead of your competition.  As a full-time online marketer, I know for certain that there are hundreds of marketing strategies out there and many times you may feel “overwhelmed” with all the stuff you read and see.

As a few tips, remember this.

1. If you are new to marketing online (let’s say it’s your first day training for a marathon), stop trying to be Jackie Joyner Kersee on THIS day!  It will take time, it will take a building of foundation and stamina.  It will also take consistent action, all of which you haven’t given yourself time to accrue just yet.
2. Upfront, choose 1 strategy to focus on.  As you’ll learn as we go over the guerrilla marketing definition, if you try to chase 2 rabbits at the same time, you’ll NEVER catch one.  Pick 1 and do all you can to master that technique.  Once you get that one going, you can always add another and another!
3. Don’t put too much pressure on yourself.  We all tend to do that at times, even me!  We get so excited that we forget there is always a gestation period.  ALWAYS!  So lighten up on yourself, and work your business with the mindset of long-term sustainability as opposed to short-term gunshot marketing!

From time to time, I love to share other people’s content because it is just that valuable! And in today’s post, I want to expose you to Eric Worre (if you’ve never been introduced to him before) as well as a man who has more documentation referencing his earnings (over $70 MILLION) in network marketing than I’ve ever seen- Jeff Roberti!

I decided to do a series of posts this week on Network Marketing Team Building because I was recently inspired by one of my phenomenal team leaders. Let me fill you in…

On yesterday afternoon, I received a text message inviting me to one of my local team mates’ home for “movie night” and I thought, wow, how cool! So at that moment, I decided I was going. Then something hit me to ask, what movie we were going to watch. My team mate responded that it was really a Dani Johnson video, but because it was 144 min long, she was calling it a movie. So again I thought, wow, even better!

Fast forward a bit. When I walk in the door, I see 4 of my business partners, their teen daughters and others looking at a laptop computer, fully engaged in the video that was playing, so I sat down and followed suit. I recognized as I looked around, how awesome it was to have been invited by another member of my team, to a network marketing team building “movie night” to bond and get to know each other even more.

Of course the material Dani was presenting was well received and on point, but even more revealing was how many tears were shed AFTER “movie night” was technically over. We shared stories of our families, of our past struggles, of why our business must work for us and even programs we plan to implement as the resources grow within our business network. Not only did I feel closer to the women part of this part of the team, but I KNEW FOR SURE I had to continue doing all I could do to help these women realize their dreams and goals, no matter what.

The most tear-jerking moment was when my business partner Lorina Noble passed out little containers with several mustard seeds in them representing that to have faith the size of just 1 of those mustard seeds could move mountains…yet we had a whole jar of them individually to take home. I couldn’t believe the closeness and the energy I felt in the room. Then I realized, this IS team building. This IS the true sense of what building relationships and partnerships is about. This IS building a legacy. This IS a mastermind!

As I drove home, I could only think about how those few hours we spent together, literally, together impacted the belief of those in the room. How I know lives will be changed now. How I know aint no stopping us, for real now. How proud and blessed I am to have come across such wonderful people to help carry out my vision of 100K people in our organization within 24 months.

You know, if you are in this industry, and you have not gotten to the point yet where you “feel” your team, your associates, your partners…then it’s time you take a serious look in the mirror and ask yourself if you even believe the things you say. Because if you can’t believe and “feel” your vision to the point where others join in that shared vision and willingly commit to seeing that vision through, then no matter how much marketing you do, your team won’t grow and flourish. You MUST build the relationships. You MUST show others that you care. And you MUST have the faith of a mustard seed if you want others to help you build something great.

So if you have not had or created some sort of network marketing team building event or get together, do it. Do yourself a favor and spend time with your team outside of business-only interactions. Show them that you care enough to get to know them and their worlds, and I can guarantee you that in time, you will benefit tremendously from that seed of fellowship you planted.

Lastly, I want to publicly thank Lorina for believing in me enough to follow my lead and entrust her future with me and our team. There’s nothing better than working with people you like and love…and I can truly say, I LOVE MY TEAM!!
