As you know, getting on the first page of google for highly searched keywords can mean more business than you can handle. But, most people fight with achieving this task. Without the cash, Pay-per-click is out of the question. And without knowing SEO, doing it the organic way is a no-go too.

So, the only choice left, is money is tight, is to learn SEO! Learn it enough to get ranked. Learn it from the right people though, or although you will get ranked, your content will be on page 1 today and page 10 tomorrow.

One of the weirdest things that I see happen in the network marketing industry is when someone asks you to do them “a favor” by going to look at their business opportunity.

HUH? Since when did “them doing you a favor” benefit them in the form of a real, life changing business? If someone does you a favor, it is just that. There is no intention of the person to buy or join anything. I know you many use this approach because they think that if they can just get that other person to the site, they will see how great the biz is for themselves and be interested. Well, not so fast soldier!

This little tactic may have worked back in the day..but no so much now.

See, so many marketers still don’t understand target marketing and attraction marketing. When you offer someone the very thing that they are looking for, they don’t have to do you a favor, in fact, they are doing themselves a favor! And that is how you find and build leaders. This way you answer the “What’s In It For Me” question and not envoke the “What is this all about” question.

I’ve even had people who needed what I had, asked me for it and actually purchase from me. Ironically they have then gotten upset with me because I would not do them a favor and buy what they had in return.

But what if I don’t want or need what you have? If I bought every darn thing on that principle I wouldn’t be able to find my bed at night due to all the useless products I would’ve purchased.

The best thing is to give people what they ask for. If they don’t ask for it, and through questions you don’t uncover that they need it..let them go!!

As a professional in this industry I recognize a newcomer a mile away! Don’t get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with being new. At some point we all were new. But the approach that the newbies are being taught will just repel the sharks they want away from joining their team. An oxymoron at it’s finest.

So what does a newcomer do?

- Well first, stop asking people to do you favors. No one in this business owes you anything..especially out of the gate.
- Second, get to know people and find out what their wants, needs and desires are..genuinely.
- Third, if you have a solution to an identified problem, offer it.
- Fourth, point them in the right direction to obtain the solution and let them take the first step..whether it is to opt in or subscribe or whatever.
- Lastly, move on to the next prospect and repeat.

If you use this formula for network marketing success, the sharks you want will be jumping out of the water to work with YOU!

Just Do What You’re Told!!

A couple of weeks ago, I got a call from a friend of mine in the network marketing industry who also happens to be a top producer. He liked some things I was doing and wanted to basically say “awesome job”. As we started talking, he mentioned he would like my help on something and guess what…I needed his help on something too! That’s called a mutually beneficial relationship!! So we agreed and shook on it.

In that conversation he shared some things with me and I realized I had some inefficiencies in my process that I needed to tweak. He told me what to do and I implemented what he said immediately.

The results???

The Positivity Fast

This morning, I woke up with an idea. And that idea was to create a way for me to work on changing my thoughts to being more consistent in thinking and doing positive things.

As a result, I decided to do a Positivity Fast!

For the next 5 days, I will be keeping track of all the times that I think a negative thought like “maybe that’s not possible” or “I can’t stand that”, etc. At the end of the 5 days I will tally up the number of times I “slipped” and be able to have a better grasp of how much time I spend thinking in the positive direction versus the negative direction.

Now here is the cool part..

I shared this concept with my friends on twitter and Facebook and boy did it pick up some momentum. In fact, my friend Michaela has termed us the “Circle of Positivity”..thanks Girl!

So I invite you to join this circle. All you have to do is follow the guideline I set above, be true to yourself and keep accurate track of your results. Only you will know if you’re being honest with yourself..

A Personal Message…

I am writing this post with a totally different format than my normal posts, as it is purely about some things I want to share about me as opposed to marketing.

I just wanted to share with you that I feel my growth in my business. I see the progress I have made over the last year and when I look back all I can say is WOW! See, when I got started, I knew notheing about funded proposals, marketing systems, PPC, utilizing social media, doing videos, or any of that. All I knew was that I wanted my online business to work and work sooner than later.

Since I believed that I could do it, I put out all-stops! I didn’t stop at 5 because everyone else did. I didn’t put in a few hours a day, I put in all I could. I didn’t go to bed early, I stayed up late..many times into the wee hours of the morning. I didn’t expect the success to come overnight but I did understand I could control how long it should take to see success.

The point…work harder than everyone else…work more diligently…work with passion and work knowing that your WHY can and will be attained.

If you do the things today that others won’t, you will live the life tomorrow that others can’t!

Push hard..go the extra mile, go over and beyond. Many of you may already be doing that for your boss..but now it’s time to do it for yourself!

If I can do it, you can too…
