My favorite cousin in the whole wide world recently moved back to Chicago and is staying with me and my husband. He is one of those creative people where sound that he hears produces pictures in his mind. So, he is basically an artist.

He has progressed through life not using his gift, mainly due to some influential people in his childhood that suggested he do something “worthwhile”. So, I watch him battle with what his heart desires and what he thinks the world truly accepts.

I encourage him daily to use his God-given talents as there are many who only pray for what he has already been blessed with. Besides, God promises to take away from us the talents that we don’t use.

My thought for today is to be YOU. Use what you have to help others. Focus on the things that bring you joy and then share that with the masses. Your life on the outside should be a reflection of what’s truly on the inside. Don’t waste your talent. Someone else’s life may be depending on it!
