Finding a New Home is Just Like Marketing…

As I have been on the hunt for my new place in Atlanta, something just came over me. And it is the fact that this is just like marketing.

See, with looking for a new place, you start off with what you want and need the result to have. Like # of bedrooms, square footage, and location. Then as you go out, you look for things that only fit that criteria within your budget. Some places you look at will be close, others will be totally off. But at the end of the day, you have to keep looking until you find the few that really match up the most and then make your final selection. At that point, happiness is found and if you were true to yourself, you realize that all that hard work and going in and out of places and negotiating the right price was all worth it!

Marketing is no different. You may start off wanting and needing a result of let’s say 20 leads a day. You decide what those leads should have and what type of lead you want. So go out and you start marketing/fishing for the right leads. Some of them will be ideal for you to work with and some will not. Some will be great for your trainings while those few will be perfect for your primary business. But nonetheless, you can’t stop until you find the strategy that works best for you and makes you happy.

So, as long as I NEED a place to live and not just WANT a place to live, I must go out everyday and make it happen. Comparatively, as long as you NEED you business to work, and not just WANT it to work, you will do whatever you must to make it work as well.

So decide right now whether you NEED your business to prosper or whether you WANT it to. That decision and you being true to the man/woman in the mirror will help you move forward..but I will say this, most people who operate out of a huge need/why, get results, no matter what..excuse-less all the way down the road..

So what’s it gonna be?

I was speaking with a friend of mine this afternoon during a consultation and I wanted to share with you what I shared with him.

I understand that funds may be low and choosing an opportunity with a high cost is totally out of the question, for now. But I do want you to realize this.

If you choose a business that costs you $10/mo and then each person you sign up you get $1/mo, how many people do you need to make $10,000/mo? On a very basic level 10,000 people! That is CRAZY! See, in a business like that, as your only source of income, no matter what strategies you master, no matter who your mentor is and no matter how smart you are…your income will never justify your work. The end result is that you say the “internet marketing” doesn’t work, as opposed to understanding that your company pay plan doesn’t work.

So please, if you are into promoting the free/low ticket programs, understand that you will need to do 100 x’s more than a person in a pay plan that makes your monthly effort worth something. Be willing to work harder than everyone else and be willing to accept the fact that it will take you a lot longer to attain that financial freedom you seek. No doubt about that.

Choose companies, programs, pay plans that reward you handsomely for your marketing skills. This is your business and your life we’re talking about here. Don’t shortchange yourself!

4 Important Types of MLM Training

(Feel free to add this content to your site. Just keep the resource box intact.)

If you want your business to grow, you need to give your affiliates or downlines regular and comprehensive training. Only when your affiliates are equipped with all the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities can your network marketing business finally provide you with a leveraged income.

4 Important Types of MLM Training
Regularity is not the only requirement for training your network marketing affiliates. Depth is also an important factor. Your training must touch all aspects of the network marketing business if you want your affiliates fully prepared for whatever challenge comes their way.

Writing
Grammar and spelling lessons may seem a waste of time to you and your affiliates at first, but rest assured that it’s a lesson worth learning. Quality of writing is often considered proportional to one’s level of professionalism. If you want people to respect your network marketing business, don’t give them any reason to treat you otherwise.

Writing is also critical in various stages of the network marketing business so it’s a skill worth mastering. You need to write when you’re adding content to your website, composing newsletters to distribute to your prospects and affiliates, or sending messages through your autoresponder.

Writing is virtually done every step of the way so make sure you train your affiliates long and hard on this.

Follow-Up
Making a follow-up call or letter is an art in itself, and it’s one that your affiliates must perfect. It’s quite rare for prospects or leads to respond at the first try and as such, follow-ups are almost always necessary. This, however, doesn’t mean they’re easy to do because they’re not.

The ideal tone for follow-up is assertive but not aggressive. It must not exert pressure of any kind. Your follow-up should also serve to remind in case your lead has forgotten about your call. It should also serve to persuade in case your prospect isn’t completely convinced yet of the viability of what you’re offering.

Lead Generation
On training your affiliates, another thing you should focus on is lead generation. A lot of network marketing businesses have failed simply because its owners are unable to generate their own leads and rely too much on buying lists of MLM leads.

One other thing you should work on is making your affiliates understand the need for high quality leads. Success in network marketing is based on finding the right persons to recruit and not just recruiting the first person who says yes to you.

As their mentor, be aware that it’s also your responsibility to keep yourself updated about the latest trends in lead generation and share it with your affiliates.

Internet Marketing
This is necessary for individuals who are more familiar with traditional network marketing strategies than those used in current times. These people are mostly unaware of how to launch their network marketing business online. It’s your job to help them realize their full potential and make the best of their businesses.

An introduction to search engine optimization would do for starters. Afterwards, teach them the basics of Web 2.0 marketing like social networking and bookmarking, forum marketing, blogging, and podcasting. Don’t forget to teach them the rudiments of ebook, article, and email marketing as well.

Now that you know the four essential types of MLM training, it’s time to develop your training formula. Once implemented, your network marketing business is set to explode!

What’s The Big Deal About Blogs?

Having a blog or website that you can control opens up the door of opportunity for your business online. So, let’s go through some basics first…

* Blog is short for weblog. A weblog is a journal (or newsletter) that is frequently updated and intended for the general public
* A blog is a website in which items are posted on a regular basis.
* A frequent, chronological publication of personal thoughts and web links.
* An online journal.
* A blogger is someone who owns or operates a blog and blogging is considered updating or writing posts on your blog

When you set up a blog for yourself you’re instantly adding to the professionalism of you and your business. Establishing yourself as an expert and authoritative figure is crucial to success in any industry. Having your own online presence with your own customized website that you have control over will help accomplish this.

The most important benefit, by far, of having your own blog is the ability to build an opt-in list. An opt-in list is built when people who visit your blog submit (opt-in) their name and email address in exchange for something that will benefit them. In most cases it’s a free newsletter or special report containing high-quality information that is of great interest to the visitor.

Now if you’re really serious about creating a blog, the first thing I would do is check out Blogging to the Bank. Rob Benwell is truly an expert on blogging and exposes many of the secrets successful bloggers use in his book.

In fact, I created my blog by following the instructions given in Rob’s Ebook.

Following Rob’s easy to understand directions will save you hours and hours of time while keeping your stress levels at a minimum.

Head over and check it out! I highly recommend his training.
